In the late 70’s and into the 80's Joe Matarese grew up in Cherry Hill NJ with a dream in his head, inspired by singer, Tom Jones. Through years of commitment and perseverance he continued performing his standup act which has grown it into a retrospective show called “Remember When.” This new, one-man show is Joe’s nostalgic reflection of growth, family, friends, video games, music that has become a soundtrack for life and discovering adulthood.

Shortly before the pandemic, Matarese supported Sebastian Maniscalco in front of 18K people at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. This opportunity is simply a further illustration of his hard work over the past several decades, and never wavering in the pursuit of his lifelong passion to entertain audiences.

To that end, the foundation of his career was built in comedy clubs across the country until he finally landed other shows. Most especially, two appearances on The David Letterman Show, and America’s Got Talent, where he received a standing ovation from all four celebrity judges. The Howard Stern Show and other notables on the late-night circuit are also part of the building blocks. His seven standup albums are currently in rotation on SiriusXM including Quiet pleasing, Fixing Joe, Disconnected, When A Comedian Attacks, Medicated, The Poster's Wrong, and Completely Present.
